Remote operation of the shading system is flexible and easy all year round.

Third time’s a charm for Horiso and Alessi Design Group

Owner expectations are met again by installing Horiso Specialty Venetian Blinds Shading System.

The owners of this Toorak home loved the look and operation flexibility of Horiso’s Specialty Venetian Blinds so much, that they chose this shading system in this, their third home designed by the same architect, Drew Cole.

Pino Alessi from Alessi Design Group; the sole distributor for Horiso in Victoria; says that the many features of the blinds, unanimously steered the owners away from using another system, third time running.

“The standout feature was the tilting mechanism, which provides the owners with incremental adjustment to maximise the reduction of heat and glare penetrating the home,” Alessi said.

“Tilting the blinds at varying degrees also controls privacy and ensures light and views are not altogether forfeited.”

Drew Cole, designed the first floor large glazing areas overlooking the rear entertainment areas with the shading systems’ head boxes integrated into the facade design.

“The owners operate the blinds to their best advantage,” said Cole.

“The blinds are retracted at particular times during the day in the colder months. The sun warms the interiors and reduces heating costs. With the blinds down and tilted, their home stays cooler in summer. Interior comfort levels can be maintained throughout the year.”
